New Padfone Infinity with Snapdragon 800 shows up on Amazon Germany

Asus is rolling out the new Padfone Infinity which has a few updates on the original Padfone Infinity.

The key upgrade is in the processor. The new model has the faster Snapdragon 800 which has a speed of 2.2GHz compared to the older model which uses the Snapdragon 600 at 1.7GHz. The new Padfone Infinity also adds a microSD card slot for added storage and the new model has a smaller 16GB storage vs. the previous 32GB storage capacity. Asus has also added a secondary microphone for noise cancellation.

A few other differences include the new model getting 2GB LPDDR3, as opposed to the 2GB LPDDR2 in the first generation Padfone Infinity. The new model features Android 4.2.2 out of the box, but the original model will also get the Android update in the near future.

Aside from that, there aren’t major hardware/specs differences. The design is slightly different, but for most won’t be overly noticeable.
